Rolex

Today, I took delivery of my grail - a Rolex 8171, affectionately nicked name "Padellone" or "Big Pan" - a vintage triple calendar and Officially Certified Chronometer... I have dreamt of owning such a watch for years but given there are only 30 or so pin...  

As you can tell, I am ecstatic

...too ornate, which is not the correct word. Too elegant. Along the lines of a Cellini. I don't see Tudor making a Cellini equivalent. I guess I will have to save my money and track down an original : )

I am planning to order some straps tomorrow (to give the watch a more vintage feel) and have it fully serviced in due course...
