Honestly... I'm surprised too.

 

These things are generally made by contract. Meaning that they're not made by an Oliver Peoples factory. They're made in some Luxottica factory somewhere in Italy (or Japan) to Oliver Peoples design. So, the screws, which are generic, are that standard low quality generic screw. I'm told by the Oliver Peoples store employees that it's a common problem for the Italian made ones to have a few problems, but the Japanese ones are supposedly relatively trouble free.
