Regretably these later models within the Datejust family are almost ignored by collectors, and I feel this is a shame as I find them truly beautiful and interesting. Specially the earlier references 6609 and 1625 with charming indexes and Alpha hands.
I´m very fond of these watches and as a matter of fact own several of them in different configurations.
It is interesting to note that in those DJ TOG with steel cases the bezel was always made in gold yellow or white like in your superb example.
The VC version is very interesting indeed and very rare. No need to say that I would love to add one of them to my collection if I had a chance.
