Family resemblance,yet so different.

Here is a small pictorial  comparison between the Tudor Black Bay GMT and the Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi (in whitegold).

Upfront, the biggest similarities are the dial indices and of course the color scheme for the GMT bezel.
The overall impression is however quite different : more vintage oriented for the Tudor (especially with the leather strap) and more modern and sporty for the Rolex.

The biggest difference is perhaps the case shape and design.

A big difference also for the GMT bezel. The Rolex is more shiny (due to the ceramic) and the colors are more vivid with a hint of violet for both the blue and red.
The Tudor bezel is again more vintage inspired with almost faded looking colors for the aluminium bezel.

On the wrist these two watches are completely different and they are fun to have within the collection.
I may however also opt one day for exchanging the black dial of the Rolex to the blue option for a higher versatility.

Thanks for looking,
Gerard

They are evidently different but your side by side comparisons highlights them perfectly. Thank you.

Excellent idea, this comparison. Maybe the new GMT MASTER will receive the 41 mm case, and then have the same diameter than the Tudor? I prefer the Tudor Case.

And the fact that it doesn't have crown guards. The Tudor Black Bay GMT is a killer. A watch which should deserve more consideration, and that I will add in my collection one day. Thank you for this post. Best, Nicolas

Thanks,Nicolas.

I am with you on the crown are fine for the Sub case but not really necessary for the GMT. The Black Bay is really a great watch and the 41mm case is my sweet spot.
