Explorers @ Phillips: Auction Four

Prices all over the place IMHO.

Lot 179
Ref. 6350 with honeycomb dial, pencil hands and lollipop seconds hand sold for CHF 35,000

I thought these were trading in the USD 70,000 to USD 90,000 range?

Lot 45
Ref. 6352 Pre-Explorer with honeycomb dial sold for CHF 15,000

Twice its estimate.

Lot 79
Ref. 6150 military issue (British Hydrographic Service Clearance Diver "H.S. 10 CD" engraving on caseback) sold for CHF 23,750

A lot lower than I expected for a military issue Explorer, but maybe without the "Explorer" on the dial like early 6150s, it brought the price down? I wish I had bid on it.

Lot 114
Ref. 6610 with Mt. Everest engraving sold for CHF 47,500

Did the engraving push this one over?
