Enjoying my fav modern Rolex in a rainy autumn evening

All the best, Alex ...

Beautiful, Alex. My eyes age as I age...

Still, I see that date just fine, and don't care for the big magnifier on newer models.

Thank you, Michael.

I fully agree with you on the date magnifier. If I am honest, I find the current state of play of the SD a massive sacrilege. For me the SD is THE epitome of Rolex alternativeness (with the Millgauss), so what has happened the last couple of years is in t...

It is a compact beast though, which is its biggest charm for me.

Quality is tops, and might remain as the last true SD, unless the crown comes back to its senses a couple of decades from now. All the best my dearest friend, Alex

A favorite of mine as well.

In fact I’m wearing mine right now while cooking tuna on the grill and reflecting on which Rolex I would keep, if I could only keep one. This one would be in the mix, that’s for sure. Kent

It just keeps finding its way onto my wrist!

😍😍😍 it is my favorite also

What do you think? Do this model fly still under the radar? I think I doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Please, show it more often. Best. René

Hi René, I will gladly show it more often

 By: agyzace : September 26th, 2019-14:01
It does fly under the radar for sure, when you consider the situation around it and the fact that current production models still command higher prices. It is a true SD gem. Even in demand, it flies under the crown’s radar😊 All the best, Alex

My fav Rolex as well. HAGWE!

I’ve come close to adding this beast many times

 By: JohnFM : September 25th, 2019-21:52
Now the prices are quite high. Maybe I will work up the courage when Nicolas adds a Panerai 372, 587, or 662 😉

Fantastic picture !

It shows that this beast is at home in every situation. It is the second favorite of mine in the whole Rolex lineup very close behind the Batman . I’m glad I sourced one before the train lives the station . Thank you for reminding me of this big boy ! ...

I was lucky...

I got mine in late '16 when my AD had 2 and was anxious enough to sell one that he made me a very attractive price. My, how times have changed! ...

Great

The pictures demonstrates one of the main unique features of (almost)any Rolex model. You can wear this watch with what I suspect to be casual but upscale attire, you could wear it while diving as well. Looks great and smart

Wished I had gotten one!

I had a chance to get one in Miami a while back. Kind of sad I didn't exercise the option.

Not at my local dealers.

 By: patrick_y : September 26th, 2019-19:17
I don't see any at my local dealers. If I knew of one for sale at an authorized dealer, I'd very likely call and buy it right now.

I meant at grey dealers by now if course.

Authorized ones evaporated by summer ‘17 unfortunately. All the best, Alex

Ahh. [nt]
