They haven't received any yet, so they don't really know about availability. Apparently, you have to order it and wait, but they don't foresee a long waiting period. Demand is not high at all, nothing to do with steel watches.

Not long ago when I visited
at a Rolex AD. There a man was wearing that meteorite dial GMT model. He told that he didn't need to wait more than only some weeks to get the watch.

We should not forget that this is more of an extreme example.
Most Rolex sell in the 8-15k range, so its almost fair to pay a bit more because it allows Rolex to make the money, not the buyer who wants to sell shortly after buying.
Rolex makes money just fine
Their watch production is perfectly automated, the margins on steel watches are probably much higher than on the rest of the collection. Kinda like buying a base mode of a car.

I tried on WG a Smirf after Christmas. The AD's sales pitch was that I would be saving money by buying it before the new year since the price was about to go up.

Not that into WG. Not much of a Rolex man either. I've tried Rolexes on many times. They never sing to me...Maybe some day I'll understand.
