Bringing you Rolex back to life
I am a certified swiss trained watchmaker and I work on lots of vintage Rolex. Your watch will need a professional cleaning and oiling. From your description it sounds as though the watch is running, which is a very good sign. However, I recommend that you do not allow the watch to run until you have a watchmaker clean and oil it, because the parts will be damaged by running while dry and dirty. I have access to replacement parts for that watch. You can go to my website if you like, and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
