Rolex

Back on the Rolex Train

I’ve drifted in and out of owning a rolex for many years now. But last year, I came to the conclusion that it’s hard to beat rolex for the perfect combination of design, comfort, engineering, toughness and overall quality of execution the price point.

With that, I decided to get back into a sport model but couldn’t decide on what I wanted…

Eventually I settled on the GMT Coke on jubilee even though I was kind of set on going with a modern piece.

I realized I don’t care much about micro adjust on the newer bracelets. Yes. It’s nice, but my wrist doesn’t change much in size throughout the day so…who cares.

I’m a sucker for the older font used on the bezels vs the modern one. And red/black is one of my favorite color combinations.

After some searching, I found this one from Jacek at Tropical Watch. He was also able to throw it on a jubilee for me, which I greatly prefer to the oyster.

Very happy with it, and don’t see myself making the same mistake I have before with Rolex smile
