Seeing the slender profile of this vintage reference leaves me feeling that Rolex got it all wrong with the chunky proportions of the modern Cellini Prince. Too bad, because I think that with a more elegant case design, the guilloche dials, exhibition case backs, and shaped, decorated manual wind movements, the Cellini Prince would really have been something. (Maybe even a success?) Every now and then I'm tempted by the rose gold model, but I always back off, probably due to to the somewhat clunky case. (Compare with any Reverso or Cartier Tank.)
