Hi, I have what is the early stages of a watch collection, the last watch I bought was a two tone DATEJUST, after dating the watch to what I think is 1945, I am thinking it is a very early datejust, and now i am wondering if the red even numbers and black...  

...had indeed a "roulette" (black/red) datewheel.

... as many other small cool details, like lug bevels on sport models, was saddly abandoned by Rolex. Fortunately, the roulete wheel date, it is presently used again in some lines, like the TOG model. Kind regards, Abel.
