I have recently acquired a birthdate sub and interested in the age old bracelet vs strap debate. The vintage bracelets feel very delicate, hence have move this on to a leather Everest strap. Stiching matches the dial patina spot on... ...

You have got good reasons to spare your bracelet. A Sub with a strap works equally good, if the distance to the case is kept minimal. Your strap on the pictures seems to do but a bit more antiquing, like light scratches, would suit that strap.

If I had to choose one it would always be the steel bracelet for a dive watch (e.g. Submariner) vs. a leather strap. Nylon NATO is good for water sports but still lacks the “purity” of the Oyster Stainless Steel Bracelet. Many who have the older 9315 brac...

looks nice with the strap on it and you may rechange the braclet on it when ever you want to. Also when having an old classic with the strap its original bracelet doesn't stretch but stays in good condition. That naturally depends on it how much the watch...
