I have on an ABP strap, and nearly the same watch! I feel you don't need a thick strap, or even a particularly thin strap (2mm). A strap of medium thickness like this (2.5mm or so) would be fine. Have a good day,

Rolex is not strap-friendly. The sharp cut-out between the lugs (which supposed to secure the bracelet), eats my strap's end, in just few minutes after I put it on. I'm fully aware about this, as this has been discussed on internet. I just don't think it ...

yes, indeed I have a black croco Hirsch strap, which also mounted on this datejust...

The cut-out also scratch the strap but is very minimal. So I guess ut depends on the strap thickness. Thanks

can solve the issue. But better leave this option to a professional, he might select springbars that are an extra mm in length

Might not be possible with such a chunky strap, but using curved springbars should help in general with this I would think.
