Not all blue dials are equal or even similar. Look at the difference from the somewhat sunburst blue dial of the SkyD with the more gradient blue/grey dial of the 5712/1A. The difficulty of comparing watches is to have them side by side and in similar lig...
I do prefer the blue shade of the Rolex but I much prefer the Patek overall here...and to now contradict myself, I don’t think the blue of the Rolex would work on the patek...
So if I prefer the patek I guess I prefer it’s blue!
Defiantly a better shade of blue on the SD to my eyes.

But my vote goes for the Nautilus from this picture for the more subdued color and the texturing!

The Rolex blue is mesmerising. I would gladly add both SD and 5712 to my collection. Seeing how difficult it is to get either, I guess it would be whichever comes first.
