The Sympathie Bi-Retrograde Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon
The Roger Dubuis Sympathie Bi-Retrograde Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon ref. S40 2002, which features a mother-of-pearl dial is very rarely seen.

The
white gold case measures
40 x
40 x
15 mm (51 mm lug-to-lug).

Even this lovely
Abyssinian cat is
mesmerised! ;-)

The watch is powered by
manual winding caliber RD 2002, which is adapted from LJP7912 and finished to
Geneva Seal standards. To see it
ticking, just

It clearly
wears large and isn't for every wrist.

It was made in a
limited edition of only
28 pieces.

The example below, no. 20/28, was sold by
Antiquorum (three photos below).

A
pink gold version, also limited to
28 pieces, was also made.

Too thick (15 mm!) and probably not easy to wear on all wrists, this watch may not be perfect, but I still find it attractive.
The distinctive “Sympathie” case shape, the MOP dial, the movement design: there's a lot to admire, here, imo.
What do you think?
Best, Emmanuel
