Afternoon at Cellini
Despite all the watch boutiques in New York City, there is only one jewelry store (Cellini) that carries Richard Mille. I found the people at the Madison Ave location to be rather nasty in the past, so went to the location at the Waldorf Astoria. Quality of service was leaps and bounds better. Small selection of Richard Mille watches but was able to try on an RM 30 and RM 09. cant find any info on the RM 009 online but apparently it was made in a limited edition of 25 examples (same case size at RM 05) and carries a price tag very similar to the RM 27 (yes...the Nadal). Most of the models that were on display were the higher end collections of top tier manufactures. well worth the visit!
p.s. the salesman told me a customer came into the store requesting to purchase the RM 56! the salesman called his RM rep, and was politely told that the watches were all sold out. no surprise but still amazed that there are more than 5 buyers for a $1.65 million watch! some people collect cars, some people collect watches!!

i beleive that he 009 is the ultimate RM and the 12 in short second when i was in NYC i did the opposite and visited the Cellini on madison ave. their selection of RM wasnt bad but no 009 :(

yup....my palms became sweaty and heart started racing when i learned the asking price for the RM 009. i was looking to try on an RM 05 and was told by the nice salesperson that he didn't have one (discontinued) but he had another watch with the same size...
Quality of service at Cellini in the Waldor Astoria is superb

Love Cellini's
I made my first visit to the Waldorf Astoria location a few years ago when I was only 14 or 15, and the service was still phenomenal - proves that they care about building customer relations. I got to try on a UN Hourstriker :D
