Maybe you still remember my post here:
Actually I like to keep this post until I get back my RM05 from RM SGP service center but since there are so many pro contra about RM quality issue lately..i think i need to share my experiance here.
Oxidized parts is NOT only on the dial but other parts has started to oxidize too if we see from the back of the casing. And there are few bubbles at small portion of inner circle coating on the sapphire date wheel . To me, this indicates that the coating starts peeling off too.
Because of my problem,Mr.Theodore introduce me to ms.Debbie Gourdon(Personal Assistant to mr.Richard Mille). She ask me not to worry...just bring it to RM SGP service center and she will alert them about my problem.Next few days..i received a parcel from ms.D.Gourdon and there is a hat, a leather travelling bag and a Richard Mille book(Richard Mille Editions Cercle D'art) inside the parcel. The book is so special because there is a personal message for me that wrote and signed by Mr.Richard Mille himself.
On his message he mention that each spare is a piece of art like what i can see from his book and my problem is a pure nightmare to manufacture. He admit they are way far from their standard.
So..i bring my watch to RM SGP service center and they told me that oxidice cause by 'seal' system on my watch not working well (BTW..my watch not under guarantee anymore and already 4 years old)...so they would try to clean the oxidiced parts.(?????). I dont have to pay anything for the oxidiced parts and the only cost i have to pay is service and re-polish charge.
My question for this forum(since i dont get any answer from ms.D.Gourdon)......IS it possible to clean up parts that had been oxidized? As I know when the metal has oxidized..its just matter of time it will re-occur.I am concern this problem will happen again in the future.
IMHO...RM is a great company that offers great after-sales service to its customer. The relationship is just not end at the moment it sells the product or after the guarantee over.I ever read on AP forum where a gentleman had a problem with his T3 dial. After he bring it to AP...they told him that the problem cause by humidity(???) and he have to pay more then US$2K for dial change.
I like what Anthony Tsai said....you can never have everything perfect and flawless, especially when the things are assembled and made by humans, no matter where you are in the price points....the most important is how they settle the problems.
I hope my post will not create another polemic here and i will gife full report with pictures for this forum after i get back my RM05.....hope i can get it back next month.
BTW..iam so sorry for my 'bad English'
best RDGS
