I actually tend not to like watches that are too thick. But, RMs
are so three-dimensional that their thickness actually looks
good. Not that the RM016 is bad either. The RM016 has that
three-dimensional appeal too, but I felt more of the three-dimensional
appeal with the RM010. Anyway, I think this 3-D effect is one of
the main things that distinguishes RMs artistically from other
watches. With most other watches, you see mostly a dial that is
fairly 2-D.

Question regarding service...
i think i read in the post about "how much mille makes" that after service is factored into the original price? does this mean for a certain amount of time, servicing is covered? or does this just refer to a "Warranty" for XX amount of years? basically wo...

so has had plenty of R&D time. I am also smitten with the 016 and torn between that and the 010. The one thing that puts me off the 016 is the width of the strap; you never see this in the press photos but it make me look like am wearing a huge leather br...

i like a wider strap too.. will remind me of urwerk.. the 010 is nice but bulky.. the 005 is nice but i want thin. i think that leads me to 016 does it not? i HATE. HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the 7 on the 016 tho... doesnt like up with the #'s.. all are lef...
I see what you mean...but having handled several 16s I'd never noticed the "7" before
I agree though that the 8mm thickness of the 16 is what really draws one in. I pranced around an AD for half an hour with a 16 on one arm and a 10 on the other trying to make up my mind, unsuccessfully; they are just so very different.
