RED DISAPPEARS AFTER ABOUT 20 FEET UNDER WATER. It changes to grey. So my guess is that this watch is more designed for the shower rather then actual diving (not that anyone would wear a half million dollar watch diving smile ).

Reason RM gives for using red is visibility in turbid water (same thing they stated for the RM 025), which is true for such diving conditions where yellow, orange and red are good for direct views. 

What I find strange is that no mention is made of SuperLuminova, and bigger luminous hands and indices -- which you'd expect for a diving watch...
