Trust me, the only real concern of people who stand on the precipice of 'should I really spend that much on a watch?' is the security issue of having so much money on them at any one time.
Therefore, any high profile muggings or Burglaries just add fuel to the 'It's crazy to spend that much on a watch' brigade. Words like garlic to a vampire as far as a brand like RM are concerned!
I think sometimes the old saying of 'any publicity is good publicity' does have its exceptions.

Honda and toyota cars have been consistantly the most stolen cars in America for years but still I am yet to see a report which shows people are not buying these cars because they are the most stolen.

its not necessarily 500k we are speaking about here, right? I mean this was a prototype given to RN, by RM, for him to wear during his matches etc.... The real cost of the physical stolen goods is much less, then you take into consideration of course mark...
