I recall when I was a referee in Italy (just with young kids over two decades ago, before moving to Canada!), even the soccer players were supposed to get rid of any bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and pretty much everything else..

I guess this rule is technically in place in every contact sport (and soccer, at least in most of Italy, is normally less physical than American football)...It's something that's generally not enforced, but it certainly makes some sense ;-)

Odell Beckham Jr wears RM 56 sapphire playing football
By: doubleup : September 17th, 2019-09:26
Did anyone else see this? Apparently he wore the 56 during practice but is wearing a RM 011 Mclaren during game play. First appearance of a Richard Mille on the field in NFL to my knowledge ...
Why? [nt]

...it is. I find this RM trend perfectly absurd. As if you could not do the same with a $20 Casio. Ridiculous..., and dangerous indeed.
Hmm

“I am off of it. I don’t really have any comment about it,” Beckham said postgame when asked about the seven-figure watch. “I think [Swedish brand] Daniel Wellington might be a better watch than these, a little classier, not as flashy as this one. I’m jus...
Expensive G-Shock

Playing football with a $200,000 G-Shock? I’m sorry but I just don’t get it. Is this about telling the world your human worth in dollars and cents?
