I have been quoted £200k which is the price, no discount, I can find 3 RM002 v2's on the internet now from reputable dealers in France & in USA all priced at £100k or less.

Now Im sure that many very wealthy people will walk into stores & just buy whatever they like, but If I had no idea of prices and literally just discovered I paid double for something, especially in that price bracket, I would feel that I had been had. So if thats the price the AD needs to sell at then I do feel sympathy for them becuase they are at a great disadvantage.

Like I say I feel a bit sadden by it as I like to support local/Home business's and there is nothing I would like to do more than strike a relationship with my AD & be able to deal with them regularly, but at such huge price differantials it isnt going to happen

Is about where it was a year ago. There was a spike in early 2008, but we're back to ~$850 and Oz. And frankly the argument that the spot price of gold has any influence on the price of a >5k watch has always seemed suspect to me. Even assuming that there...

Here in the US the retail asking price is not 3x... it is much less. Contact your friendly neighborhood AD for more info Experientially, I can say that my somewhat recent transactions with numerous RM 010, a WG 002 and a very recent sale of a Ti 004 were ...

MR The goal is soul man must be looking at imaginary posts , from what i see eg. RM10 retail $54 000 NOW FOR SALE $30 000 and even one for $27 000 . Even saw an RM10 in WG for $35 000 for a watch that is less than 1 year old a loss of 50% is not holding v...

I think you are assuming these people selling paid list for their watch. I would bet that most people ask for and receive some discount from their AD, so the price paid vs the asking price is a much better comparison than the retail and the asking price.
