Great final, the watch - not so sure ... With advances in manufacturing a lot can be done at a more accessible price point. But who did it first does matter.

In any case - Rolex was the first to produce dive watches on a large scale. There are plenty of sub look-a-likes that one can buy at fraction of the price. Not saying that they should not exist but they are not real alternatives. Richard Mille didn't inve... 

I think the new category that RM created wasn’t just tonneau cases and exotic materials, but high quality sports watches beyond diving. They brought action sports into haute horlogerie with a vibrancy that didn’t exist before. Happy to be proven wrong!
