like the plating of the part did not go well. I have seen plated parts change color after a time because they forgot a layer or had problems with their plating bath. I don't know what metal that part is or how it was plated so I can't comment further. I w...

RM has always been very considerate with their repairs. Even though it is more than 3 years old, I am guessing it would only be the price of a 3 year maintenance to fix it. They will probly swap out the guts for new. After all, they have to maintain their...
