PLEASE ALL READ:I find it incredible that some on this forum, even after Richard Mille has

 By: 219 : October 22nd, 2008-09:32
admitted that they are far from their own goals and taken to repair the problem, that you still wish to write a response like this. The tarnishing will be repaired - my guess is with new parts - the servicing and new polishing is recommended as standard o...

not enough

 By: eric.vonschonberg : October 22nd, 2008-09:59
It is not enough for Richard Mille to admit it is below standard, give the guy a book, and a hat, and then charge for service. RM should fix his problem for free. The hat, the book, and the admission that standards have not been met are optional, and do n...

I agree

 By: Jose Mourinho : October 22nd, 2008-10:25
I agree totally with your response Andrew,I find myself tuning in less and less to this forum.more of the posts seem to be more interested in bashing Richard Mille any chance they get. The other day I made a post about journe, when a couple of individuals ...

All evidence to the contrary - I do allow posts. What I will always argue against

 By: 219 : October 22nd, 2008-14:25
are unfounded ranting type posts that are not founded on what has actually been written. Daytona1712 was following up and informing the forum of how Theodore and Richard were following up, and you leapt on the post as it was insufficient. Despite the fact...

cleaning oxidized parts ...

 By: eric.vonschonberg : October 22nd, 2008-09:52
It does not make any sense to clean oxidized parts. For one thing, you can't clean them really, but can only buff off the top layer that is oxidized. But, if that is done, the fine tolerances of parts sizes will be upset. Plus, all the labor involved in b...

Perspective

 By: Elbow : October 22nd, 2008-11:21
As some have said, some perspective is called for here IMO. My one surprise is that RM is expecting a payment to be made in order to retify the problem. If the corrosion has been caused by a defective seal in the crown, you'd have to bet that it was defec...

u gotta point Elbow...

 By: kkhazen : October 22nd, 2008-11:48
... fair explanation. Good of u to bring some some reason and decency to this post. The point is not anymore of a defect or bad after sale or whatever. Problem is that we cannot say anything anymore without being jumped at. K.

Dear KK..........

Apologies for my sarcasm..........however...........please read your post again.............the tone was aggressive. Regards.

I dont have to pay

 By: daytona1712 : October 22nd, 2008-20:12
ANYTHING for defect parts(oxidice/tarnish)parts...the only cost i pay is servicing, polishing and new strap and its normal for my 4 years old watch. I hope RM will CHANGE the oxidice parts with new parts instead of clean it.

Having read this entire thread to date,

my reaction is that RM are responding appropriately to this issue. This type of high-end, highly complex watch is far more likely to develop such problems than a simple, conservatively designed and traditionally constructed timepiece. I think of my own fi...
