You definitely should!👍

I confess I gained about 15-18lbs, since not competing, I’m around 165-170lbs.
And yes, you’re right, less and less slim people in US, sadly...
In response to the App I use, I don’t usually use any apps since it triggers the competitor in me, and I prefer to just enjoy the scenery, my breath, the landing of my feet, but today I made an exemption, I used my girlfriends Garmin Connect app, just to see where I am.
What I recommend, is an app called Strava, it’s by far the most accurate if you care about distance and stats.
So put on the sneakers and start placing one foot in front of the other! 😂

Do you take a nap after this? Has your diet changed since you stopped competing?

A nap;))) That was a good one!

No, usually I stretch, for about twenty minutes, shower and go about my day... Yes my diet has changed drastically, I reduced the amount of food since I don’t burn that much. I usually eat once, or maybe twice a day, mostly prime foods (meat, steamed veggi...

Wow, I need to get back at it, seriously.

I bet you stay slim, these days, slim people are hard to find in America. Sad, but true.

You definitely should!👍

I been trying on the elliptical but I should start running again. Up to 30 years old I was 139, I am 185 pounds now.

We run all the same the races!

You mentioned that you’ve stopped racing, why is that? I tend to do many of the races just for a workout, and then for some I will be more focused.

Very impressive...but the depressing part is...

you run your a** off and it's only worth a couple of candy bars in the calorie department : )

Hahahaha, a good one!!!

I run because I choose hart-attack instead of cancer😂😂😂

Yes. This is the real eye opening for many people.

And that calorie count (expenditure) seems a little generous, most of these apps overestimate the burn. But the sentiment is correct. It takes a lot of work to burn one slice of pizza......

Yes, you're most likely right regarding the calories.

I don’t ever check that part, I train the old school way, witch is you run for time not pace or distance. Most of the time I run without any gadgets, I just set my Phone for one hour, and by now I kind of know how many miles that is. I use my Girlfriends ...

I understand.

I will likely run this year too, I deferred from last year as I was unfortunately injured for most of the year. Marathon is definitely not my thing, I prefer the half distance as it’s less complicated in many ways. But, when a major international race fin...

I did a tryout with my wife's trainer once...

he said, "Before we start, get on the treadmill and give me 100 calories.' He had a fancy version that I assumed was pretty accurate. I started walking with elevation and then started running with elevation and I was shocked at how much work (and sweat) i...

I had always heard that...

exercise in the first thing in the morning might not be that good for the body... fact, fiction, or opinion? Running has a positive effect on your cardiovascular system, however, due to fluctuations in blood pressure, hormonal levels, and cellular environ...

Dear Casey, I can’t speak about the scientific part of this theory, because I don't have any cardiovascular issues yet...

But I’m running most mornings on a empty stomach for over thirty years, and I didn’t experience any negative effects other than the normal wear and tear... Running to me it’s just fun right now with no pressure at all, I’m just enjoying the outdoors at a ...

I will also say that I run, ride and swim on empty stomach almost always first thing in the morning.

If the time might exceed 90-120 minutes then I will have breakfast but other nothing. Most of the people I train with would do the same.

Nice!
