But I like Hopper. Here are a few of his best-known paintings. Nighthawks, 1942 (arguably his most famous); Automat, 1927 (a personal favorite due to the reflected overhead lamps ); New York Movie, 1939; and Sun in an Empty Room, 1963. Hopper died in 1967...

Such a deep, deep black at the top.
Why is this corner a favorite of yours? Where is it? And where does the landing start/end? It looks almost Escheresque.
