What a great adventure!
Very little, if any, star streaking for 8 second exposures too. I enjoy photography but haven't tried astro stuff in many years. I do remember that anything past 3 or 4 seconds would have noticeable streaking in my area. I'm further north compared to where you are and I think that makes a difference.
You did well with your editing. My favorite is your first photo because of the warmer light mixing with the stars. Beautiful!

these are photos that I always dream of taking, but alas, the sky here is too cloudy and everywhere is well lit throughout the night, making it impossible for me to practise even I want to... and of course, I don't know how to take such photos 😅
