Strasbourg is among my favorite cities in the country. Have you had the opportunity to visit the Musée des beaux-arts in the Palais Rohan, on the other side of the cathedral?
Shame on me. We've been visiting the city for over 45 years and have not yet had taken the time. For some reason, we can't tear ourselves away from the restaurants long enough :-))
Our next excursion is with someone who will definitely make us take the time. Thanks for the recommendation.
I first went to Strasbourg as a young man, aged 16,
in order to take the entrance examination at a local university. I failed miserably, but fell in love with a young woman painted by Raphael and exhibited at the museum's first floor. Whenever I go back, to her mine eyes return always.
Haven't been for 20+ years.
What a cool place. I still remember this place as a child. An exasperated child, looking up.
