The punctum

is an object or image that jumps out at the viewer within a photograph - 'that which pricks or bruises'. A punctum can exist alongside studium, but disturbs it, creating an 'element which rises from the scene' and unitentially fills the whole image.

To me, I call to mind the Seinfeld sitcom... often wonderfully described as "a show about nothing"...

One starts to see a real or imagined thema in the body of work...  I am loving it...
