Tell your friend the first leg started on the canal near Tipton I’m sure he’ll know it. The old Jensen factory is still there mate it’s on a loop off the main canal think it’s just out of shot on one of the pics. Im very familiar with the Netherton/Dudley area being a Black Country lad : ). When this COVID madness clears up I’ll certainly be visiting BCLM and will post some pics you can share with him. There’s so much history related to the canals in this area probably even most of the living near them don’t even know about.

Took the bike for a ride today along the canals into the city

There’s lots of history along these towpaths. Also forgot to mention Birmingham actually has more miles of canal than Venice ; ) Fact

My uncle was a lifer at Wedgwood. Been a while since I’m been through those parts. He would have to drive places to meet people. I used to sit in the car. In those days it was ok to leave a young child in a car.
