I grew up on the plains next to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Canada...

and we had incredible clouds most of the time. Now I live in Northern California and there are really no clouds. There is a marine layer which is basically fog, or there is rain which is just gray sky, and obviously lots of sunshine.
So I miss the great billowing clouds as well. Not the weather, just the clouds.
