Horny ;-)

Sadanga, Mountain Province, Philippines, 2023
Hasselblad X1D2, 45mm

I had the X on Aperture priority and defaulted to auto ISO most times. To mitigate blow outs, I had exposure compensation set to -1.

This scene gave me an ISO of 6400 and a shutter speed of 1/320 on an opening of f5.6.

6400 is surprisingly quite useable on this camera. Grainy, yes, but not at all annoying.

If you’re curious about all those horns, it’s all the carabaos he ever owned and then some.

It seems like you got on quite well with that kit, thinking of adding a Hassy to the camera bag. Medium format seems a possible next step ... The road trip was successful, and I am enjoying the colour. Casey .

Thanks, Casey. The X series is a great camera, a great entry point to med format photography..

And the nice thing about it is that pre-owned kit will not break the bank. Of course, the AF takes forever on the X1 although I think it’s better now with the X2. It also hangs on occasion if you use it like a dslr but nothing a reboot can’t fix. It’s als...
