And the nice thing about it is that pre-owned kit will not break the bank. Of course, the AF takes forever on the X1 although I think it’s better now with the X2. It also hangs on occasion if you use it like a dslr but nothing a reboot can’t fix. It’s also not weather sealed so a windy day at the beach might not be ideal but nothing that can’t be mitigated with a little mindfulness.
I’m sold on it. I’m just waiting for our friend to finally give me a price. I think he’s hesitating because for some strange reason, the Xpan crop, which he loves using, is NOT on the X2! Users are complaining for sure and can easily be addressed with a firmware upgrade. Anyway, he told me to not worry about it and just use it coz it’s not going anywhere anyway. Go figure
Could be a rabbit hole though with the lenses a la Leica. Right now i’m perfectly happy with their kit lens but i’ve seen the output on the XCD lenses and they are otherworldly. It renders like Leica’s APO lenses.
See where comments like “you got on quite well” can lead you :-p
