amazing how some guys who love their cam gear don't wear watches :-p

on a more serious note, i think you're going in there already with a right set of questions and attitude in mind and that will make a big difference.

one can attend these things with reasons changing as they go along.

first timers for maybe the usual basic questions.

then the next classes will probably be more because you're in a better frame of mind to observe a particular "celebrity" instructor or maybe just use the class to gain access to shooting opportunities that you might find a drag to organize on your own.

what is also nice about classes in general is that if you're' not the lone wolf type, you get to meet people who might in the future become shooting buddies.

that is how it started for me 8 years with a core group of friends. i met them all through workshops.  and then slowly we found ourselves doing it on our own with our own planned itineraries.  it's very organic.

all we need as with anything is an open mind.  i'm sure you're not lacking in that respect!
