As you're familiar by now....
My main 'shooting objective' are a plethora of urban, suburban and rural landscapes. That's mainly the reason why I'm also giving serious consideration to a high megapixel medium format camera like the Hasselblad X2D 100C (includes sensor stabilization), despite the rather ludicrous price tag of over $8K.... It's main point of detraction, from what I understand, is the leaf shutter housed inside the lens itself as opposed to a typical focal-plane shutter on the sensor itself.... Then of course, the Z8 being the mirrorless replacement for the D850 has quite a threshold to live up to, and I absolutely loved my long-gone D700........ We'll see how the year unfolds, but something will definitively happen

Never used any such adapter before myself, it is interesting to see and learn about....
In general I prefer to use same brand lenses...
Canon-Canon, Nikon-Nikon, etc. But I just do not like the Canon 50mm offerings. Too expensive or too much plastic... and lenses should have some kind of signature results... Let's see how the adapter works out in the long run. Casey .

The film ones are quite fun to use. I think given the types of photos I’ve seen you post I’d go with something more compact. A camera isn’t any good if you can’t access it. I wish I have a Q2 (but I had 2 many m43 Panasonic lenses to give up the ghost. ...

That's why I'm primarily looking at the new X2D 100C. I believe it would fill well over 90% of what I look for in a camera with aplomb.... The only item of debate I've observed thus far is that the in-lens leaf shutter doesn't necessarily sync well enough...

The Zeiss Makro 50 f/2 gives a good image...and I have no doubt that the Otus 55mm delivers a quality image as well. Casey .
