A Giant Forest (or a Forest of Giants)
Several weeks ago I bemoaned the loss of an old Torrey Pine tree in our neighborhood. Yes, there are more of them, but as they reach 100 years they begin to suffer and a few must be taken down.
Yesterday I was invited to visit a friend of my wife who lives in the midst of a forest of beautiful Torrey Pines (and beautiful homes) just above the Pacific Ocean. My spirit was renewed -- here are a few images -- I think you will agree if you love trees this is a fabulous place to live:

I grew up surrounded by pine trees... and spent many hours up in the branches ...looking at distant horizons Of course we had a tree house ; ) Casey
