It could be a mailbox but I doubt it. This fish weathervane ( or it may not be ) is probably nonfunctional but it may be there for strictly decorational purposes. I've seen some old collectible weathervanes sell for tens of thousands of dollars on Antique...
Do you know if the top flips open to put the mail in?
