question to the experts: what is "wrong" with this dial?
Dear all,
This is a "brand new" 3940G. You will notice that the lower half of the 24 hour dial is "yellowish".
It is not a photo defect or "funny" angle.
Is there anything "wrong" and in your opinion 1) is it rectifiable and 2) how does this "defect" affect the price of the watch
I apologize in advance if I am raising issues that cannot be talked about on this board. I am happy to receive pm on the subject as I
am looking to buy the watch.

sorry, what exactly do you mean by "night indicator"? They way I "see" the time is 1540
The am/pm indicator.
At that time (15:40), its hand is being overlapped by the day hand.

To indicate the night (dark) period of the day.
"A" said more about it. BTW - it's one of the Top 5 watches, from all brands, IMHO
