Should I trade my 5980 steel black dial?
I have a four year okd 5980 1A-014 black dial steel. Thinking of trading it in for a same model blue dial 5989-1A-01. Should I do it if given a chance?

I say yes ,the blk might be more rare
But anytime i c the blue it grabs my attention ! The blue is just looks better imho.

Both are great in their own ways. Depends on your lifestyle and aesthetic preferences. The black is definitely more rare but the blue perhaps more vibrant. The white is super cool sporty. All great so can’t go wrong with any of them in my opinion.
That is so much a matter of personal taste

Keep the black dial
the 5980 black dial is rarer. If I want blue nautilus, I will go for 5711 5712 instead. ...
This is what I would do, but as others said, it's a very personal decision
The dial colour is a matter of personal preference, lifestyle, specific use, etc. I wouldn't make a decision based on any other criteria.
I have both and I prefer the blue.
You could buy a blue dial and have the option to change it back..
