see the point of this thread....
You have not tested the competence of Patek's service in the US but you would like to sent it to Switzerland because a watch from a different manufacturer that you never worn was sent to service in the US was not probably serviced....
Your point being? ( other than praising Rolex and Timex ? )

The manufactures all suggest 5 years or so. Most watch people I know all say never go into a watch if it's working properly, as you can do way more harm than good. Good point I never connected the routine maintenance requests as a ploy be companies to pay...
