The 5140 is also my favorite perpetual. And as much as I welcome a Platinum edition, I'm not sure about the blue face. I know some people who love blue-face watches but it's not for me. That said, if that was the only 5140 available, it'd still be my favo...

The white face on the 5140G is classically perfect with the simple baton markers and dauphine hands. You may be mistaking sombre understatedness as sad, my friend.

It is a very subjective matter, and, as always, everyone has his favourite. The white dial is very elegant, sober, understated, as you said, the blue adds something very special, different to put in words, but something like " dynamism " or " youth " on a...

I very much like the new 5159R. Although I maintain, I still prefer the 5140 over the 5159 series. The 5159R fills a void that has been strongly desired by many collectors for many years. I'm sure that it will be a resounding success. The 5160G is beautif... 

It's a good thing they chose to engrave the officer watch. This watch with its hunter case is more appropriate to be engraved than any other perpetual calendar watch in the Patek Philippe collection. The engraving simply wouldn't be tolerable on the other...

Mine too In most of the cases I am not a big fan of Dauphine hands, but there are exceptions. My father had the same thoughts when I showed him the pictures, so maybe it is a family bug Most of my watches have black dials and I think I really like this on...  

The colours (black and grey), size and layout are more modern than any other Annual Calendar. I also like the fact that the day, date and month windows (and fonts) are bigger than the 5396. Black or grey? Difficult to decide in this case. Goh

Favourite of all the new releases that came from Patek this year. I cannot wait until I am able to see one on my wrist at the AD. At the moment I think that prefer the black & grey dial, but again seeing them both in the flesh will help. I like the op...

Here is a new annual calendar we already saw at the beginning of the year. This year's show was the opportunity to see it. The new 5396 is in fact a new dial variation after the launch a few years ago of the so called sector dial version. Patek Philippe 5...

To be honest, I'm in love with the older version of the 5396, and the new one, to me, just lost the perfect blue railway dial on the older version.

I love this 5396 R - it is the perfect watch for me - and the next generation ... Erich

Honestly, I was originally excited by the idea of an annual calendar in a Nautilus case. Today, I'm somewhat taken aback. The annual calendar is a useful mechanism that is designed for daily wear. The Nautilus to me strikes me as a very casual watch that ... 

Same thoughts (more or less) here ... It is a very appealing and well balanced Nautilus, from every angle. It looks good with the leather strap, but I assume it would look irresistible with a steel ... Do we have to wait, or is it maybe retrofitable? Oliv...  

I'm not to sure how I feel about the white second hand, I don't like it on the 5135 replacement and not sure about the Nautilus Annual. Though I have one on my 5167, the white second hand seems better suited to a sporty watch than a dress watch.

I really like the pictures of the watch and some of the wrist shots. granted I need to see the watch in person, and on my wrist.... haha!!

The original Nautilus is a great design, and imho does not work as an annual cal. Too narrow between the "eyes" is the feeling I get, and the moonphase completely malplace on this dial. Love the other new models but this one is unattractive imo.

I love the Nautilus line, I am not certain about this complication in this case..... however I would like to see it in metal first.... thanks for posting this Dje (as well as the rest of the thread) Cheers

Are there already retail prices known for the 5726 A ? Will it be in the range of the 5170 A of about 20k Euro or more in the range of the 5980 of 29k Euro ? Only curious about this as I want to know if it is worth the wait or if one should go for a 5170 ... 

Don't know how to correct it, but I meant of course the 5712 A & G and not 5170 ...
