One thing though: i am pretty confident in saying that they are not going to replace the 5296. The 5227 is the replacement and i think this piece is much better as you describe it. Consider that they are willing to do amazing artworks on the case back free of charge. This is like a high end reverso. And even if you dont need an engraving, there are good things to say about the dial and lugs.
However, there is a good chance to see a replacement to the 5196 in the near future. Im really looking forward to that.

Personally, the 5127 is my favourite Calatrava and I love the way that the shoulders come up to protect the screw-in crown. But in Rose Gold for me.
