Why We Love WPS... ...and a wife's VERY happy Valentine's Day :)
Sure we all love timepieces and hand-crafted horology... over the decades it is the wonderful community we enjoy here on WatchProSite. Great posts, funny comments, and even a friendly jab or three... even Nico and Chubacca are cool guys, and ok, sure, Jocke's pics are kinda pretty, I guess. And Aperna, and of course Cpt Scarlet....
So, the day before Valentine's Day I saw a FS ad here on WPS by WatchFan1. Instinctively knew this was perfect for my wife. But by now it was (literally) around midnight on the early morn hour of Valentine's Day. Excellent communication and we agreed to meet today (Feb 15th) for lunch. Perfect weather as it is high season here, and yes with our fun-loving wives in tow it felt like longtime friends / couples with a shared love of horology. WatchFan1 and his wife were terrific, great fun, and yes the wives seemed to really get along. And yes, it was obvious our wives enjoyed fine timepieces too.
With that said....
Long story short. Some of you might remember for many years I had the PP AD 5110 Wall Clock. Eventually it found a new home, tho never realized how much my wife truly loved it. As in, every now and then she reminds me she wishes we had kept it. Well, when I saw WatchFan1's FS ad I knew this would make the perfect "Maybe I can finally get her to shut the f--- up about the 5110 wall clock". Ok, that's not really what I said, but it was what I was thinking. So I never said it, not with my 'out loud' voice.
Anywho, so here we are. Happy Wife, happy life.

PS: This marks the THIRD time we've had a PP WT wristwatch in the family, the fourth PP WT counting the 5110 AD wall clock.
PPS: And yes my wife is absolutely elated beyond her dreams. She truly loves and yes she knows horology.
PPPS: I did ask that she never EVER speaks of the 5110 wall clock fiasco and to 'redeem' my mistake oh those years ago. i asked....
PPPPS: She immediately realized that some of the names on the 5110 dial were changed on the 7130. She knew, instantly.
