Which Watch Today?
After several years I have relented and purchased a Patek. For 2 weeks I have worn it solid and that’s unusual for me. I have been wondering why I am happy to keep it on my wrist?
The answer lies in legibility, wearability and a dial that appeals in colour and layout. Perhaps also it’s not a risky watch to wear? Originally the watch was available with a WG bracelet and I considered replacing the blue Patek strap but on discovering the cost I thought better of it.

Your 5396 blue dial matches well with the
plaid shirt. Love the drop of water on the crystal. Great set-up of a wrist shot !

Size, Comfort, Dial Balance, Accuracy, Ease of Use - this watch has despite several competitors stayed in its place. It’s as close to the perfect watch as I can imagine. Any offers to improve as a daily wearer?
