This is such a rare experience to deal with a 96 ref. that it is even rarer to read about its servicing.
I'm sorry, I don't have a specific source for the 96 reference.
I imagine you can ask to keep some parts as they are or refresh them. I heard they can also replace parts with "service parts" (like the dial). I don't know a thing about this but these are elements you maybe wish to check and to give an answer to before authorizing the overhaul?
Anyway, we'll be looking for its return!

took about 12 month. Mine was less than €1K, including a new leather strap and a buckle. Told them NOT to touch the dial and the hands. Result: PP did a great job! Good luck with yours.
