Unless you already have experience with black dial watches...
I think you will regret the trade.
Black dial watches tend to look stunning in first glance but the love fades pretty quickly from my experience.
Then again, it is MY experience and yours may differ.
If I'm you, I will keep the 5070 and the 3970......
But if you feel like keeping ONLY one Lemania Patek and you do like platinum (what not to like) and black dial (I don't) ,
5970P will be a very very very good choice.
They are afterall just watches, whatever decision you make , it is replaced by another great one. So even if you may have regrets, it will be
well compensated by a beautiful 5970P.
So, I say if you still itch for it after a day or 2, go for it.
Life is too short

But having said that the 5970p is just an incredible watch ...... IMO the most balanced modern patek made to date..... Good luck and go with your heart and eyes..... M....
Relax ,take some pills and slow down. I would think
twice before making that deal. I think you may have some regrets later on. I've been in similar situations and I can tell you from experience that I have had many regrets. Personally, I wouldn't do it.

... concur with some u will miss the 5070. And switching from 3970 to 5970 just for a dial & metal is IMHO not a good trade. Do consider.

it may not be the best trade . The two pieces you have are iconic and desirable in their own right and are most probably someone's grail . However, individually they are not in the same league as the 5970P IMO and when you throw passion and a "must have" ...

reconsider.... the hype surrounding 5970P is reaching a crescendo given the fact of its recent discontinuation as well as its purported lower number hence pointing to an exclusivity on top of the normal attributes given to this last execution of Lemania b...
5070 & 5960
Early this yr I sold both the 5070G & 5960P at some point I would like a 5970P but I think soon there will be a 5970P with Dark Blue Dial. Maybe next yr will see!
