reconsider.... the hype surrounding 5970P is reaching a crescendo given the fact of its recent discontinuation as well as its purported lower number hence pointing to an exclusivity on top of the normal attributes given to this last execution of Lemania by PP.
However.... 3970j harks to a time when classics reigned supreme and therefore, at least in my mind is more romantic and in a more appropriate metal as well. 5070G whilst nice is not as appealing to me. The potential loss here should you push through with the trade is the 3970 and not the 5070. 5970 over the passage of time will grow to be an even greater piece than what it is today. BUT 3970 will reign as reference of modern Patek chrono perps.

it may not be the best trade . The two pieces you have are iconic and desirable in their own right and are most probably someone's grail . However, individually they are not in the same league as the 5970P IMO and when you throw passion and a "must have" ...
