A 5320 on display at a local ad. Sorry for the Bad quality, it's cold. Is it more readily available now or just one of these rare occasions? 5170P was also on display. ...  

I would not have thought that it would stay rare or even unobtainable. More surprising is the 5170 P, I suppose.

I was offered one earlier this year at an AD in California. After trying it on and seriously considering the purchase, I did not go through with it. For my tastes, the watch is just too big. Ultimately, I purchased a 3970 j instead. I have been very happy... 

It would have been a formidable watch in 36 mm or even 38 mm, if it has to be bigger. You have made a much better choice. Any picture of it?

My antidote to the 5320. A “common” version of the 3970j. I really enjoy this watch. ...  

it is no brainer to buy one of the finest PP ever, the 3970.

3970 is a true classic. Perfect aesthetics and movement. If you have the choice between current production and this historical masterpiece the decision seems clear...

they had six preorders none went for it.

Had one (at least) as well. I pre ordered one, but when I tried it, it was too big for my wrist...

I‘ve already heard this from 2 ADs, that tons of people make preorders for new releases and then back off, when the watch is available. It seems that hype is moving faster, than the output of the watch companies.

at best. The ultra low production masked this for a while. This to me appears to be an incredible movement. Why they brought it out in 40mm with all the retro and lume is anybody's guest. When this movement is cased in Patek DNA design it should move much...

my AD has offered the 5320G to me at 10% discount and still negotiable. 5235G even lower and 5170P at about 12% off. still, money-loosing propositions....actually, the only 'dress-watch' that interests me currently is the 5270P and to make the deal work i... 

Dress watches can be worn to any apparel if one has the ability to combine (no offence to you!). Sports watches have got far too delicate movements, including Rolex movements, in order to do serious sports AND are source for injuries, too. So: no sports a...

I think we are all just being a little cheeky. My point is what ever the moniker a brand decides to bestow upon a certain model, to me they are all either watches I can swim in or I can’t. I played ice hockey and would never wear any watch while doing tha... 

This watch is staggeringly overpriced--like all Pateks (but that is their identity and market-position) however, I do like this model quite a lot... I'm personally happy to see it plummet... to the price and position it should be. the case is really lovel...
