The salmon dial is lovely in full daylight and hauntingly rich/saturated in low lighting.
I always recall the amazement in seeing that salmon beauty for the first and only time at the Charlotte, NC Patek AD. My first instinct (when the salesman opened the Patek box to reveal the 5270P-001) was to simply gaze at it in the low lighting of the special viewing area. The VIP back room had pencil thin down lighting that created dozens of small eye-catching reflection points on the curves of the case, the sapphire and made the richness of the salmon dial glow and dance. I didn't want to touch it right away even though he said I could pick it up. I had a loupe but I wasn't ready to handle it yet. There was too much to take in initially. I think I was smiling but I don't recall exactly.

I am typically in long sleeve (to/from meetings) and in short or rolled up sleeve (for food) during such work trips. I rarely roam around in the city but I always feel very safe in most Asian cities.
